For UK-based companies

Hire Indian Developers for UK Companies

London tech salaries are now within 15-20% of New York. Most UK scale-ups cannot fund that. A five-person team in our Gurgaon office costs roughly what one senior London engineer does, with six hours of GMT overlap and GDPR-aligned working practices. Here is how it works for UK clients in practice.

Six reasons UK companies hire from India in 2026

The post-Brexit talent market in the UK has tightened sharply. Add salary inflation and IR35 friction and the offshore option becomes structurally attractive, not just a cost play. Here is the specific case for the UK.

London salary inflation has gotten silly

London tech salaries jumped 30-40% between 2022 and 2025. Most UK SMEs and scale-ups simply cannot match what a US fintech in Shoreditch is now paying. Hiring in Gurgaon brings senior talent in at a quarter of the London cost, with zero National Insurance overhead.

Six hours of clean overlap, every day

India is 4.5 hours ahead of BST (5.5 in winter). Our team works 1pm to 8pm IST when working with UK clients, which is your full morning into mid-afternoon. Standups at 9am UK time, lunch overlap, and end of day handoffs all fit comfortably.

Real seniors, not just bodies

The UK market for senior backend engineers has been brutal since 2023. Average time-to-hire for a London Senior Engineer is 4-6 months. We typically place a senior with you in 7-14 days because we already maintain a vetted bench for common stacks.

GDPR alignment is built in

Indian law is not GDPR adequate at the country level, but the engineering setup is. We sign Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with you on day one, restrict data access by role, and can run engineers through a UK-hosted bastion if your DPO insists on data never leaving the EEA. We have run engagements for UK fintech and healthtech clients without issue.

IR35 does not apply, no umbrella mess

You are paying an Indian limited company (AllDomainSoft.com Pvt. Ltd.) for a B2B service. The engineers are our employees, not yours. IR35 rules apply to UK contractors operating through PSCs; they do not apply to a foreign B2B vendor. Your accountant will confirm this in five minutes.

VAT-friendly, simple invoicing

We invoice in GBP, our service is outside the scope of UK VAT (export of services from India). You pay the invoice, your accounting treats it as a foreign supplier expense, no reverse-charge gymnastics unless your accountant wants to keep things tidy.

The numbers, in GBP

UK numbers are pulled from CWJobs, Hays, and Robert Walters 2026 salary guides for London and other UK metros (Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol). Fully loaded on both sides: UK numbers include roughly 20% for employer NIC, pension, and benefits. India numbers are our flat monthly fee converted to GBP at prevailing rates.

The numbers on a typical five-person UK team

A five-engineer team for a UK SaaS scale-up (two seniors, one mid, one frontend, one QA) costs around £400K to £500K a year in London fully loaded. The same team out of Gurgaon costs roughly £120K to £150K. That is £300K a year retained, which is the difference between hiring one more PM and a designer, or just extending runway by six months.

UK time-zone overlap, in detail

The UK is the easiest English-speaking market for our team to serve. Six hours of overlap means almost no async friction. The actual cadence for each setup looks like this.

London / UK (GMT, winter)

Your 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM is our 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM IST

Six hours of overlap. Standups in your morning, big work blocks in our afternoon, code reviews and handoffs into your afternoon. Most natural pairing of any region we serve.

London / UK (BST, summer)

Your 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM is our 1:30 PM - 8:00 PM IST

Six and a half hours. Effectively the same working day. Half of our UK clients run their daily standup at 10:30 AM London time, which is mid-afternoon for us, and treat it as the team's most important sync.

Edinburgh / Manchester

Same as London

No practical difference. UK observes a single time zone, so engineers run the same overlap regardless of which UK city your team sits in.

Dublin (Ireland)

Same as UK

Dublin and London share GMT/BST. Several of our 'UK' engagements actually have founders in Dublin and the pattern is identical.

Legal, tax, and compliance for UK clients

The boring but important section. None of this is novel for a good accountant or solicitor, but laying it out saves a few rounds of email.

GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act

We sign Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs, the post-Schrems II flavour) plus a UK-specific addendum. Engineers signing into your systems agree to your data handling policy. We can configure access so EEA or UK customer data never reaches India in clear-text form: VDI, bastion hosts, or simply scoping the engineer's role to non-data work. Several UK clients run this setup.

IR35 and off-payroll working

Off-payroll rules are designed to catch UK contractors operating as 'disguised employees' via personal service companies. A foreign B2B vendor (us) supplying a service via an India-based legal entity is not in scope. Your accountant will confirm by checking the HMRC ESM (Employment Status Manual) section on overseas contractors. We have never had a UK client trigger an IR35 enquiry from working with us.

Equality and Human Rights Commission expectations

All engineers signed onto your project have completed unconscious bias and equality training as part of our onboarding. We can extend this with your own training modules if you have specific compliance requirements (financial services, healthcare).

FCA and PRA, for fintech clients

We have placed teams for UK fintechs operating under FCA permissions. Outsourcing to a third-party vendor (us) is permitted under SYSC 8 of the FCA Handbook, with the standard obligations on your side: documented vendor risk assessment, exit plan, audit rights. We provide the audit hooks. The legal lift on your side is a one-time setup, not ongoing friction.

Questions from UK founders and engineering leads

Do you have UK clients?

Yes, the UK is one of our larger client geographies after India and the US. We can arrange a reference call once we are past initial qualification, though we do not publish client names because of NDAs.

What about Right to Work checks?

Right to Work checks apply to people employed by your UK entity. Our engineers are employees of AllDomainSoft.com Pvt. Ltd. in India, working from our Gurgaon office. They never enter the UK as part of their job, so Right to Work checks do not apply. If a client needs to bring an engineer to the UK for a project visit, we handle business visa applications.

Can the team join our existing Slack and Google Workspace?

Yes, this is the default. We add engineers to your Slack workspace, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Jira, GitHub, the lot. Your IT admin provisions accounts the same way as for any new hire. We do not run a parallel comms layer.

What happens to bank holiday and annual leave?

Engineers observe Indian public holidays by default (10-12 days a year, mostly in Q3 and Q4). We can shift this to your UK holiday calendar for an extra cost (engineers will then work on Diwali, Holi, etc. if needed). Annual leave is 20-22 working days per engineer. We share an annual leave calendar with you each January.

How do you handle on-call?

We can run on-call rotations covering UK working hours plus an additional out-of-hours window if needed. Standard model is the team covers your working day plus a one-hour buffer on either side. 24/7 on-call requires hiring engineers across two shifts, which we have done for two UK clients with SaaS uptime SLAs.

Is there a minimum contract period?

Three months is the typical minimum to make the onboarding investment worthwhile, but we are flexible. After the initial three months, 30-day notice on either side. We do not lock clients into long-term contracts.

Can I visit the team in Gurgaon?

Yes. Direct flights from London Heathrow to Delhi take about 9 hours, our office is 40 minutes from the airport. Most UK clients visit twice a year. We arrange airport pickup, hotel near the office, and meeting space.

What is the actual onboarding timeline?

Week 1: requirement signed off, shortlist of 3-5 candidates per role shared. Week 2: you interview, we extend offers, candidates resign. Weeks 3-4: notice period in their previous role. Engineer at their desk by week 4-5. For common stacks (React, Node, Java, .NET) we have a pre-vetted bench and can compress this to 7-10 days.
