Hire Indian Developers for UAE Companies
The UAE is the most natural offshore market for an Indian engineering company. Ninety minutes time difference, a shared talent and cultural pool, DIFC and ADGM frameworks that play well with foreign vendors. Here is what UAE companies actually get when they hire through us, with the legal and tax shape spelled out.
Why UAE companies hire from India (and why so many already do)
Roughly 35% of UAE residents are Indian, including a large fraction of UAE's tech and finance professionals. The relationship between Indian engineering and UAE business is the most established offshore relationship in the world. Here are the six factors clients raise most often.
Ninety minutes time difference, not nine hours
India Standard Time is 1.5 hours ahead of Gulf Standard Time. Our team starts work at 9:30 AM IST which is 8:00 AM Dubai. By the time your office opens at 9, our engineers have already been at their desks for an hour. The working day is effectively identical.
Cultural and language proximity, not just geographic
Roughly 35% of UAE residents are of Indian origin. Your local employees, your customers, and our engineers share more cultural reference points than any other offshoring relationship in the world. We have had clients in Dubai where the on-site team and our Gurgaon team WhatsApped in three languages without a single misunderstanding.
60% cost savings, no UAE corporate tax exposure
UAE corporate tax is now 9% on profits above AED 375K. Hiring through us is an operating expense for your UAE entity, reducing taxable income. We invoice in AED or USD, your finance team treats us as any other international vendor.
Local hiring in Dubai is genuinely hard right now
Dubai tech hiring has been heating up since 2022 with the Golden Visa program and the influx of crypto and fintech firms. Time-to-hire for a senior backend engineer is now 3-5 months in Dubai. We deliver the same profile in 7-14 days, from a 5-million-strong Indian talent pool.
DIFC, ADGM, and Central Bank compliance is familiar territory
We have placed engineering teams for clients regulated by DIFC, ADGM, and the UAE Central Bank. Outsourcing rules under DFSA and FSRA are similar to UK FCA in shape: documented vendor risk, audit rights, exit plan. We provide the standard documentation pack on day one.
VAT-friendly, simple invoicing in AED
Our service is zero-rated VAT (export of services from India to UAE). We can invoice in AED, USD, or INR depending on what works for your books. UAE clients typically pay in AED through a SWIFT transfer; settlement is usually same-week.
The numbers, in AED
UAE numbers are pulled from Hays Salary Guide GCC, Robert Half UAE, and Cooper Fitch reports for 2026. Fully loaded means salary plus housing allowance, education allowance (where applicable), end-of-service benefits, and health insurance. India numbers are our flat monthly fee converted to AED at prevailing rates.

UAE time-zone overlap: basically a full workday
India is one and a half hours ahead of the Gulf. The overlap is the closest we get to running a co-located team without actually being in your office. This is what the daily pattern looks like across the Gulf.
Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Sharjah (GST)
Your 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM is our 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM IST
Nine hours of overlap. Essentially a full workday in lockstep. Standups, lunch breaks, end-of-day handoffs all happen together. The most natural pairing of any region we serve.
Doha (Qatar, AST)
Your 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM is our 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM IST
Almost identical to UAE. Two and a half hours behind India, you get the same near-full-day overlap. Our team flexes mornings slightly to give you a clean 9-to-9 paired window.
Riyadh (Saudi Arabia, AST)
Same as Doha
Same dynamics. We have placed teams for Riyadh-based clients and the cadence feels identical to a Dubai engagement.
Kuwait, Bahrain
Same Gulf zones
All Gulf time zones overlap with India by 8-9 hours. Whichever Gulf city you operate from, the working day is in sync.
Legal, tax, and compliance for UAE clients
The compliance lift for a UAE client engaging an Indian B2B vendor is lighter than for US or UK clients, but here is what your finance and legal teams should know.
DIFC and ADGM outsourcing rules
Both DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) and ADGM (Abu Dhabi Global Market) have published outsourcing guidance that broadly mirrors the UK FCA SYSC framework. You will need to document your vendor due diligence, audit rights, and exit plan. We provide a vendor pack with all this content (SOC 2 Type II questionnaire, financial statements, BCP plan) so your compliance officer can sign off in one review cycle.
UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (data protection)
Personal data of UAE residents flowing to India requires either consent of the data subjects or one of the transfer mechanisms in the Data Protection Law. The simplest path is the controller-to-processor agreement we provide as a template. For DIFC and ADGM regulated entities, the in-zone data protection laws are slightly stricter (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020, ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021). We have signed-off frameworks for all three.
UAE Corporate Tax (9% from June 2023)
Our services are an operating expense for your UAE entity, deductible against taxable income. We have no UAE permanent establishment, so no withholding obligation on you. Your accountant just books our invoice as a foreign supplier expense. We share our trade licence and Indian tax residency certificate for your records.
VAT (5% UAE)
Export of services from India to the UAE is zero-rated under UAE VAT law. You do not pay 5% VAT on our invoice. You may need to disclose it under reverse-charge if your accountant prefers that for tidiness, but there is no net VAT liability.
A UAE engagement, sanitised for NDA
One of our longest-running engagements is with a Dubai-based fintech that scaled from one engineer to a full product squad. Client name is held under NDA, but the engagement shape and outcomes are public.
Scaling a FinTech Startup from MVP to 100K Users
FinEdge launched out of Dubai in 2024 with a wallet app aimed at the UAE expat market. By the time the founders reached out, they had three engineers, a working MVP, and a Series A close that depended on hitting feature parity with two better funded competitors. Their CTO put it bluntly. He needed twelve engineers within sixty days, and the alternative was burning two of his three remaining months of runway on Dubai recruiters who could not promise more than five hires in that window. The local salary numbers also did not work. A senior React developer in Dubai was costing around 18,000 AED per month, which would eat their next round before the product even launched.

Do you have UAE clients we can speak to?
Yes. Several. Once we are past initial qualification we can arrange a reference call with a Dubai or Abu Dhabi client. We do not publish names because of NDAs. Many of our case studies (including some of our largest engagements) are UAE-based.
Can engineers visit our office in the UAE?
Yes. We do quarterly visits for many UAE clients. Flights from Delhi to Dubai are 3.5 hours and routine. We handle UAE business visa applications for engineers. Some clients have our tech leads on-site in Dubai for sprint kickoffs every 6-12 weeks.
What about Arabic-language support?
Our team is English-language by default. We have a few engineers with conversational Arabic, mostly from Lucknow and Hyderabad. If your project specifically requires Arabic UI work, RTL handling, or Arabic-content workflows, we will assign engineers with that experience and budget extra QA on the Arabic flows.
Can the team work from your Dubai office instead of Gurgaon?
We are headquartered in Gurgaon. We do not currently maintain a Dubai office, though we have a registered presence for client servicing. Engineers work from our Gurgaon office. If you need on-site engineers in your Dubai office on a per-project basis, we can arrange short-term visits (1-4 weeks at a time).
Is there a difference in working week?
Slight. UAE moved to a Saturday-Sunday weekend in January 2022 with a half-day Friday. Our team follows the Indian Saturday-Sunday weekend, so Fridays are normal working days for us. Net result: we are 100% in sync Sunday through Thursday, and you get coverage on Friday (when most of your UAE team is off).
How do payments work?
Most UAE clients pay by SWIFT wire transfer in AED to our partner UAE bank, which settles to our India account. Some pay in USD. Some pay through international banks like HSBC and Emirates NBD. All routine. Invoices are due net-30, settlement is typically same-week from UAE clients.
Can we hire engineers permanently and then move them to UAE?
Yes, this happens occasionally. After 12 months on an engagement, if a client wants to convert an engineer to a direct UAE hire, we run a buy-out (typically equivalent to 3-6 months of fees per engineer). We handle the UAE work visa process through our partners. About 1 in 50 of our engineers has eventually moved on this path.
What is the actual onboarding timeline?
Faster than for US or UK clients because the Indian engineering pool has so much UAE experience already. From sign-off to first engineer at the desk is typically 7-10 days for common stacks, 2-3 weeks for niche specialisations.
